As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored intervention plans for children and families.
- Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to referrals and safeguarding concerns.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
- Participating in duty systems, including responding to urgent referrals and crisis situations.
The successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in children's social work, with a focus on safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with families and professionals.
