In this role, you will play a vital part in providing support and intervention to families in need, ensuring that children have the best possible start in life.

As a Children’s Social Worker in the Early Help Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans tailored to the needs of children and families.
  • Collaborating with multi‑agency partners to provide holistic support and resources to families.
  • Delivering direct support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, preferably in an early help or preventative setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
