We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Team Manager to join our Intake Team in Hounslow. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support the management of a dynamic team of social workers while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. As an Assistant Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the intake process, assessing referrals, and determining the appropriate responses to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Team Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Intake Team.
  • Supervising and supporting social work staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Conducting assessments and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to referrals.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to promote effective communication and service delivery.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification, with current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intake processes.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
  • Proficient in case management systems and report writing.
