We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Ashford, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and support needs.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and legislation.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, promoting positive outcomes for children.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions and decision-making processes.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection or children in need settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Proficient in risk assessment and management, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
