We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Barnet. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for adults with various physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote independence and improve overall well-being.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the functional capabilities and limitations of clients.
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support.
- Monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Providing education and resources to clients and their families to facilitate understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience working with adult populations, preferably in a community or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop creative and effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel within the community may be necessary.
