Join our dedicated Adult Safeguarding and Independent Living Team in Newham as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in promoting the welfare and independence of vulnerable adults in our community. In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of those you serve.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs of adults at risk, ensuring that their voices are heard and their choices respected.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans that promote independence and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, community services, and family members to coordinate effective care and support.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on safeguarding procedures, ensuring compliance with local and national legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, and preparing reports for court and other legal proceedings as necessary.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding and working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with individuals and communities.
