We are looking to recruit a Manager for our Maryvale Young Parents' Supported Accommodation Project in Blackburn. The project has six bedsits for young families who need support to gain parenting and independent living skills, enabling them to resettle in the community and live safely with their children. We aim to provide a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based and person‑centred service. As the Supported Accommodation Manager you will help ensure the service delivers a safe, welcoming, effective and quality experience in both housing management and support. You will work closely with statutory services to support safe and healthy parenting, and you will serve as the Operational Safeguarding Lead for the service, applying safeguarding procedures and legislation.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small dedicated staff team, working through example and being involved in all areas of service delivery.
- Ensure the service is safe, welcoming, effective and of high quality.
- Collaborate with statutory services to support safe and healthy parenting.
- Act as Operational Safeguarding Lead, applying safeguarding procedures and legislation.
- Participate in the Out of Hours On‑Call rota.
Requirements
- Experienced manager who has run a service for vulnerable young people and families.
- Hands‑on approach and willingness to lead by example.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
- Experience using database recording systems and Office 365.
- Availability for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with some flexibility.
