About the Job
We are looking to recruit Weekend Project Workers at our accommodation projects, Morning Star Hostel in Hulme and Caritas House Hostel in Collyhurst. Both provide high quality single room accommodation for single men, which are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality customer service to residents at our accommodation projects.
- Provide a friendly and professional welcome to residents coming in and out of the building.
- Spend time with residents who are in the communal areas.
- Facilitate a daily activity for the residents e.g. cooking, gardening or social activities.
- Responsible for the security of the building, doing building checks, dealing with emergencies, answering telephone calls, monitoring CCTV and undertaking minor domestic tasks.
Qualifications
You must have excellent customer service, IT and admin skills and a positive approach to team working. Experience of working with people that are homeless and may be vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a residential/similar setting is essential. You must have experience of working with people that are homeless in supported housing.
Working Hours
The hours of the role are 24 per week, the shifts are 8:45am to 21:15pm Saturday and Sunday.
