The Digital Skills and Employment Coach will establish and run a Get Work Ready job club and Digital Skills café. You will provide digital skills support to the people attending the sessions, supporting them to get online, access services, gain online work-based qualifications, create CVs, help people look for work and complete application forms. You will also provide one-to-one coaching to people that join the volunteering programme, creating Personal Action Plans to Get Work Ready and support them into employment.
Responsibilities
- Establish and run a Get Work Ready job club and Digital Skills café.
- Provide digital skills support to attendees, including getting online, accessing services, gaining online work-based qualifications, creating CVs, job searching, and completing application forms.
- Provide one-to-one coaching to volunteer programme participants, creating Personal Action Plans and supporting them into employment.
Qualifications
- Target driven with excellent customer service skills, able to coach and motivate people to achieve their personal goals.
- Good IT skills and capable of supporting people to learn digital skills.
- Knowledge and experience of how to support people into education, training and/or employment, and the ability to communicate positively with people from different walks of life.
Hours and Contract
The hours of the role are 11 per week, flexible but must be worked within core hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2028.
