About The Role

We're looking for a compassionate and creative Diversional Therapist who is passionate about enriching the lives of older people through engaging, person-centred lifestyle programs.

Working alongside our multidisciplinary care team, you'll design and deliver meaningful activities that promote independence, wellbeing and social connection while creating a vibrant community where every resident feels valued and included.

  • Your Day-to-day Will Involve
  • Plan, implement and evaluate engaging Diversional Therapy programs that promote emotional, social, and physical wellbeing for aged care residents.
  • Develop individualised activity plans tailored to each resident’s cognitive and physical abilities, encouraging participation and purpose.
  • Coordinate and promote lifestyle events and recreational activities, including outings and on-site entertainment, in alignment with resident interests and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with aged care standards, including reporting, assessments, and resident records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, volunteers, families, and community groups to enhance the lifestyle experience for residents in a warm and inclusive environment.

About You

You bring a positive attitude, work collaboratively with others and take pride in making a meaningful contribution to the lives of residents and their families.

  • In addition, you have;
  • Certificate 4 in Diversional Therapy or another qualification recognised by Diversional & Recreational Therapy Australia
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role in an Aged Care environment
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Standards relevant to Diversional therapy activities and within an Aged Care setting
  • Training and/or demonstrated experience in Dementia care
  • Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
