As a key member of the leadership team, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager in leading, motivating and developing a dedicated team
- Lead by example, creating a positive, collaborative environment where staff feel valued and inspired
- Assist with recruitment, inductions, staff development and supervisions
- Step up to lead the nursery in the Manager’s absence
- Ensure the nursery provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all children

To be successful in your application, you will need:
- A suitable Level 3 childcare qualification, recognised by the Department for Education.
- A good understanding of the EYFS.
- Excellent understanding of the English language, spoken and written.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Previous childcare experience within an early years setting, with some leadership or senior practitioner experience desirable.
- A cleared DBS check.
- The ability to extend children’s learning through high‑quality experiences and activities.
- Experience of supporting or managing a group of key children.
- Strong communication skills with both adults and children.
- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development.
