Responsibilities
As our Clinical Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the professional growth of our clinical staff. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our healthcare professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation by ensuring that our clinical team is equipped with the latest advancements and best practices in healthcare. This role requires travel, and overnight stays will be necessary depending on where you live.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop effective and engaging learning programs tailored to the specific needs of clinical staff, incorporating the latest industry standards and evidence-based practices.
- Deliver impactful training sessions through various modalities, including in-person workshops, online modules, and virtual training sessions, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify the learning needs of clinical staff, working closely with department heads and subject matter experts to address skill gaps and enhance performance.
- Implement evaluation metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and continuously refine content based on feedback and outcomes.
- Ensure that all learning and development initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organisational policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality and Operations.
Ideal Candidate
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with valid NMC pin; 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Experienced and confident in delivering training both face-to-face and online.
- Understanding of current clinical practices through evidence-based CPD and Revalidation.
- Essential knowledge of best practice standards that apply to all areas of development practice and the competency that is being trained.
- Strong writing skills and confident in communicating.
- A driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
Clinical Skills Experience:
- Venepuncture
- Urinary (Male/Female) and Suprapubic Catheterisation
- Stoma Care
- Enteral Nutrition Methods
- Tissue Viability, including ANTTCare
- Planning, documentation, and assessment
- Monitoring and Recording of Vital Signs (with understanding of the NEWS)
- Administration of Medication via IV, IM, SC, PR, PV, PR Routes
- Diabetes management
- Understanding of neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease
- Tracheostomy care
- Syringe drivers
