Private Housekeeper - Alresford, Essex - £20 per hour

Working hour specifics
- Family not in residence (expected to be approximately 45–48 weeks of the year) 12 hours per week Monday and Thursday. (Tuesday and Thursday, should a Bank Holiday fall on a Monday)
- 1 Week prior to family returning to residence (to prepare household) Minimum 4 consecutive days 08.00am to 14.00pm.
- Family in residence (expected 4–7 weeks per year) Employees shall work 30hrs per week Monday to Friday 8.00am to 14.00pm.
- Occasional Saturday morning working may be required such as the first week in December. However, this will be agreed in advance.
In this role as a Housekeeper, you are joining a private household team responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of high-value, luxury residence. Possessing a strong work ethic, high standards of presentation, and a proven track record is a key in this appointment.
Responsibilities
Full housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and laundry. To include an agreed schedule of cleaning and upkeep of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and common spaces to the highest standards.
Care and maintenance of high-end furnishings, antiques, artworks, and delicate surfaces.
Prepare a schedule of cleaning to be carried out weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, six-monthly and annually.
Sending the appropriate items for dry cleaning and checking them before and after for stains or damage. Ensuring the appropriate detergents and cleaning products are used. Swapping Winter and Summer clothing. Checking the clothing in storage for protection against bugs and wrapping accordingly.
Ensure everything is in place for the Homeowner, in respect of restocking cleaning and in preparation for departures and arrivals.
Receive guests at the door and supervise their reception, as and when required.
Monitoring and restocking household supplies and cleaning products.
Assign tasks accordingly for any household maintenance and services required by the Homeowner, when requested.
May assist with setting and keeping a household budget.
