People Assistant (9 Month Fixed Term Contract) - Colchester, Essex - Β£ Per Annum
- Supporting absence management and maintaining accurate records, working closely with managers and the wider people team.
- Taking ownership of the our benefits system, including maintaining accurate employee information and supporting colleagues with access and queries.
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR team across all areas of the employee lifecycle.
- Supporting employees with flexible working requests, liaising with managers to ensure requests are considered and processes within the required timescales, in line with company policy and employment legislation.
- Supporting the administration with a number of different monthly awards, coordinating with managers and relevant teams along with maintaining accurate records of awards and employee recognition.
- Helping to ensure HR processes are followed consistently and in line with company policies and employment legislation.
- Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
- Preparing and issuing HR documentation, including confirmation letters and other employee correspondence.
- Providing support to employees and managers with general HR queries, escalating more complex matters to the appropriate colleague within the people team.
- Keep up to date with relevant employment legislation and supporting the HR team to ensure processes remain compliant.
- Previous experience in an HR Administration or HR Assistant Role, with a good understanding of the core HR processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A good understanding of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- A confident and approachable communication style, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
- Level 3 CIPD is desirable but not essential.
