Are you a Support Worker tired of working for companies focused on profit only? Join our charity and make a real difference. You will work as part of our growing Accommodation-Based Services team, providing practical and emotional support to young people aged 16‑18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Gloucester.
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma‑informed support and build strong relationships with those you support.
- Assist with moving and settling into a new home.
- Develop and implement safety plans to reduce harm.
- Support individuals in securing employment or training places.
- Teach and facilitate independent living skills such as shopping, budgeting, and cooking.
- Work with a tight‑knit team of Support Workers, Senior Support Workers, Night Building Supervisors, and a Project Manager on a rota basis.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Experience as a support worker in a similar role or relevant life experience.
- Empathy, drive, and motivation to help others.
