Are you an experienced support worker or looking to begin a career in supporting young people? Then this is the opportunity for you. We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Accommodation Based Services team providing housing and support to young people in Swindon. We are looking for a Support Worker to join the service in a part-time position. Applications from everyone are welcome, including those with lived experience, care experience or refugees with Leave to Remain.
You will assist the Management Team with the oversight of homes, leading on support and safety. You will be a role model to the young people, continually pushing for the highest standards. Your support will be trauma-informed. You will understand people’s backgrounds and champion diversity and inclusion.
There is so much variety. You could be helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired to, support with independent living skills, and obtain refugee status. Due to the locations of our properties, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
