Role Overview
Are you looking for a role with autonomy and variety, whilst making a difference in people\’s lives?
The Role
Your role will involve providing short-term, hands‑on support, direction and information to eligible families who need intensive family support.
You will provide effective support to the Lead Professional who is coordinating services, as part of a whole family approach and contribute to/engage in the development and effective delivery of the family action plan as appropriate. You will help families define their own goals, respond to individual needs and support the family to navigate and access relevant services, offering positive role‑modeling, practical and emotional support to families to improve independence and well‑being.
The service operates flexibly Monday to Friday, with occasional requirements for weekend work. This enables us to provide the support for families at the times they need it most. We are able to discuss flexible working for applicants to meet a healthy work‑life balance. The role is part‑time, 12 hours per week with some early morning and evening work including a Tuesday.
There is a significant travel requirement in this role; the service operates across Dorset so a full driving licence and your own transport are essential.

Additional Notes
^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro‑rata for Part‑time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.
^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (45p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. You\’ll need a well‑maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and Insurance covering business use.
