We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Support Practitioner (internally known as Family Support Specialist) to join our Family Services team working from our Yate office, and around South Gloucestershire working part-time, 15 hours a week including a Tuesday.

Your role will involve supporting families to achieve their goals through Positive Parenting Programmes, Family Support and community groups. You'll thrive at building relationships with those that you are supporting, and our network of partner agencies. Your organisational and time keeping skills should be strong, as you will be managing a busy caseload. No two working days will ever be the same.

As a Family Support Practitioner in South Gloucestershire, you will be working with vulnerable families through parenting programmes to establish routines and structures, role modelling positive interactions, guiding healthy lifestyles and working alongside other professionals to offer a holistic approach. You'll be supporting a caseload of families to ensure the needs of the child, young person or family are met.

You will have worked in this role previously or have transferrable skills from other positions. Your personal values and experiences will enrich your ability to support. This is an incredible opportunity to lead on relevant projects within the team to match your subject matter expertise.

The service operates primarily between Monday to Friday and we embrace flexible working practises to allow applicants to meet a healthy work life balance. You will be providing support through visiting people in their own homes, working in schools or other community settings.

You will be required to travel within your designated area of work, therefore a full driver’s licence and your own transport are essential.
