About the role
Ikon Science’s Data Solutions team are responsible for the scoping and delivery of Curate Solutions to our clients. As a Curate Solution Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of Curate Solutions to our clients both in pre-sale pilots and full implementations. Your role will involve understanding our client’s technical requirements, defining solutions to those needs and then deploying the Curate technology.The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a desire to get hands on with implementation and data ingestion, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirement
Scoping
- Maintain strong technical relationships with clients.
- Once an opportunity has been qualified work with Sales, CST and VP Data Solutions to develop understanding of client their needs and develop a scope for of Curate pilots and implementations which are aligned with client requirements.
- Coordinate with Curate Integration Advisor to identify and scope any custom integrations workflows required to deliver Curate solution.
Implementation
- Responsible for delivery of presales pilots and full implementations.
- Install, configure and upgrade Curate on clients’ systems.
- Work with clients to develop and agree data standards and data models pre-load.
- Configure Curate automation and integration products to populate client data into the agreed data model.
- Review client data for inventory purposes - highlighting inconsistencies and other challenges to be overcome during load.
- Aggregating, formatting, standardizing and loading Oil and Gas wellbore data into Ikon Science software using manual loading and Curate autoloaders.
- Handover solution to clients with support of CST.
Management & Support
- Manage GeoData analyst(s) to assist in data loading and configuration tasks. Ensure that team have access to the necessary data, applications and client resources.
- Prepare weekly reports to detail work completed on a project.
Technical Expertise
- Maintain expert knowledge of Curate software suite and feed client requirements to Product Team.
- Assist with CST in providing solution specific customer support to clients.
- Maintain Ikon Science data standards and ensuring they stay contemporary with industry requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Delivery of Curate solutions to meet clients needs.
- Delivery of weekly reports both internally and externally.
Experience
- 5 years’ experience working in subsurface data management.
Qualifications
- Degree in geoscience, computing, information systems or related discipline
- Understanding of subsurface data types including well metadata, logs, rock and fluid measurements.
- Experience in setting up and configuring subsurface data management solutions.
Experience of RDBMS of various types, including but not limited to SQL Server and Oracle. - Experience of SQL queries involving tables, columns, views, triggers, indexes and procedures
- Awareness of standard bodies, data lakes, data warehouses such as PPDM, OSDU, Snowflake, Databricks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet requirements
- Experience deploying web-based solutions including the configuration of IIS, Apache and backend microservices
- Awareness of common energy domain software applications such as Petrel, Techlog and Geolog.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Regional travel (estimated 20%), with occasional global travel, are requirements of this role.
