Join the Caridon Foundation Team: Supporting People in a Life Beyond Housing! Caridon Foundation provides supported accommodation in Brent, Croydon and Harlow. Under our provision, we are required to provide care, support, and one-to-one supervision on a weekly ongoing basis, conducting specific key work sessions based on a person-centred approach. We are committed to working in line with Housing Benefit Regulations and Quality Assurance Framework (QAF).
We are passionate about our tenants and the communities in which they live. Our aim is to provide housing to individuals who are unable to secure accommodation without support, and then support them throughout their tenancy to become fully independent.
The role involves supporting tenants to achieve their housing and personal goals through tailored Personal Housing Plans and risk assessments. Key responsibilities include:
- Weekly client contact
- Assisting with tenancy management
- Budgeting and income maximisation
- Addressing debt and rent arrears
- Facilitating repairs
- Conducting property and health and safety inspections
- Ensuring regular review of risk assessments and support plans
- Collaboration with external agencies
- Addressing antisocial behaviour
- Promoting well-being
- Implementing harm reduction strategies
- Creating realistic housing move-on plans
- Managing tenancy breakdowns through referrals to relevant stakeholders
Adherence to confidentiality, data protection, and organizational policies is essential. Flexibility to handle ad hoc tasks and team support as needed is also required, alongside compiling monthly statistics and maintaining service standards.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of team management experience, excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. They should be compassionate in supporting vulnerable clients and knowledgeable in essential Health & Safety standards, including first aid and hygiene protocols.
