Reporting to the Store Manager, the Coffee Manager at the Carhartt WIP Coffee Shop Kings Cross is the heartbeat of the space - setting the standard for both exceptional coffee and genuine customer connection. In this role, you’ll lead and inspire a passionate barista team, champion outstanding coffee quality, and create an environment where people feel welcomed, energised, and part of the wider Carhartt WIP community. Your Responsibilities
- Champion specialty coffee excellence, ensuring every drink served meets the highest quality standards.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel part of the Carhartt WIP community.
- Engage with customers, building relationships that turn first-time visitors into regulars.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing barista team who share a passion for coffee and hospitality.
- Oversee daily operations including opening, closing, and smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Manage rotas aligned with customer footfall and business needs.
- Ensure stock levels, ordering, and waste management are effectively controlled.
- Ensure the coffee shop environment reflects the Carhartt WIP aesthetic and brand values.
- Support in-store activations, community events, and collaborations that bring the space to life.
- Take ownership of sales performance and operational KPIs.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and proactively.
