Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to join our team and take responsibility for end‑to‑end Ocean Import and Export operations. You will ensure smooth shipment handling, accurate documentation, and timely customer updates while building strong relationships across the logistics network.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate proactively with clients to troubleshoot issues, think creatively, and provide effective solutions.
- Track and update shipment progress regularly, including ETD updates and system records.
- Build and maintain relationships with business partners, including agents, shipping lines, and customs authorities, to optimize operations and grow your professional network.
- Issue and monitor transportation documents and manage electronic data through internal visibility and collaboration platforms.
- Handle FCL & LCL Ocean Import and Export shipments end to end, coordinating with overseas offices to ensure timely submission of documentation, accurate costing, and prompt customer updates.
- Prepare and issue accurate final invoices to customers or destination offices, verify data against agreements and documentation, and submit cost invoices to accounts promptly to ensure correct billing, accurate accruals, and prevent overdue supplier accounts.
