Overview

As part of the manufacturing team to ensure the correct operation of the chocolate line and that all production is made within the manufacturing specifications within standard procedures & processes, employing Continuous Improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • To operate pre refiners & refiners within production, ensuring refining specifications are met, employing standard procedures & processes, aligned to food safety, quality & environmental, health & safety standards, completing process parameter records accurately. Process checks to ensure compliance to all standards are completed & recorded throughout the process. A small amount of manual additions according to recipe specifications.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out and operate a clean-as-you-go policy aligned to good manufacturing practice.
  • Participate in EHS and Food Safety activities on site (audits, safety observations & reporting).
  • Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance management system.
  • Comply with EHS, Hygiene, Food Safety and Allergen rules.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team & to take accountability for areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Safety mindset, IT literate
  • Basic Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
  • Basic English (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
  • Proven use of CI tools

Other Information

  • Must have effective communication skills, be proactive, self-motivated, and flexible
  • Should also have good problem solving skills
  • Would be desirable to have experience within the food manufacturing environment
  • Shift role, including weekend & night shifts
