This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution.
Our commercial merchandising trainee program offers a unique opportunity to unlock your full potential and develop yourself as a future leader in our commodity merchandising team. You will learn about our agricultural commodities merchandising industry and how we operate in a rapidly changing economic environment. You will also broaden your understanding of local supply and demand factors that impact markets, and commercial decisions to generate revenue.
Main tasks and accountabilities:
- Work directly with customers, suppliers and business counterparts to develop business solutions to meet their needs.
- Provide market analysis and pricing support, particularly for oilseeds processing in Europe.
- Monitor and review daily cash, futures and Forex positions.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance and finance departments to ensure seamless execution of operations.
- Generate market, position and profit and loss reports based on data and specialty reports.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (2:1 minimum), Fluent in English.
- Preferred qualifications: General understanding and strong interest in geo-political dynamics and trends, Strong communication and influencing skills, High integrity and ethical standards, Natural leadership ability, motivation, initiative, risk appetite and resilience, Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-functional teams, Curiosity to learn and create new ways of building and improving systems and processes, Strong data and analytical skills and ability to proactively identify and resolve problems.
Selection process:
The selection process starts with an introductory self-recorded or live video interview with a recruiter, followed by a video or in-person meeting with the team. The finalists will be invited to complete an online assessment and have an interview with the hiring manager.
