We’re looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to help shape, sequence and drive the delivery of major construction and civil engineering projects. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of planning excellence, supporting both work‑winning and on‑site delivery to ensure projects run safely, smoothly and to schedule.
What you will be doing:
- Developing robust, NEC‑compliant programmes from design through to delivery
- Working with designers, subcontractors and project teams to build accurate, resource‑loaded plans
- Monitoring progress, updating programmes and producing clear lookaheads and phasing plans
- Driving project controls, benchmarking, logistics planning and time risk management
- Creating 4D sequences, using digital tools (Asta, PowerBI) and interrogating 3D models
- Supporting design management through programme impact analysis
- Coaching Assistant Planning Engineers and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team environment
What you will bring:
- Degree‑qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Experience as a Site/Section Engineer or similar, with strong understanding of construction methodology
- Proven planning experience in civil engineering or related sectors
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
- Confident using Asta, PowerBI and digital engineering tools
- An approach built on collaboration, continuous improvement and professional integrity
