We're looking for a Sustainability Advisor to join our growing Sustainability team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about sustainability, environmental performance and responsible construction, and wants to develop their expertise within a leading civil engineering and construction business.
Working closely with our Head of Sustainability and project teams across the business, you'll gain hands‐on experience supporting major construction and civil engineering projects while building the knowledge and skills needed to progress your career within sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting project teams to implement sustainability objectives and environmental best practice.
- Assisting with the collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability data, including waste, energy, water and carbon performance metrics.
- Monitoring project sustainability performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting the preparation of sustainability reports for clients, project teams and senior stakeholders.
- Assisting with environmental compliance activities and helping projects meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Researching emerging sustainability trends, legislation and industry best practice.
- Supporting the delivery of sustainability awareness campaigns and training initiatives across the business.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams, engineers and project managers to embed sustainable practices into project delivery.
What we are looking for:
This role would suit someone looking to build a long‐term career in sustainability and gain exposure to major infrastructure and construction projects. You may already have some experience in sustainability, environmental management, construction, engineering or a related field, or be looking to take the next step following a degree or graduate programme. We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Confidence working with data and producing reports.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites, offices and stakeholder meetings across the UK as required.
Desirable
- Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, environmental consultancy or sustainability.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, carbon reduction, waste management or ESG principles.
