We’re looking for a talented Project Engineer to join our team in London and help deliver some of the UK’s most exciting infrastructure and civil projects. In this role, you’ll be the technical driving force on site supporting engineers, coordinating with designers and clients, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What you will be doing:
- Leading on technical compliance, contractual requirements, and risk management.
- Coordinating design information, buildability reviews, and statutory approvals.
- Managing setting out, dimensional control, and as-built information.
- Overseeing environmental obligations and ensuring required consents are in place.
- Preparing and approving ITPs, method statements, quality plans, and H&S documentation.
- Monitoring programme performance, resource planning, procurement, and cost control.
- Providing guidance to site engineers and supporting a culture of technical excellence.
- Managing temporary works (including acting as TWC for high‑risk works).
- Ensuring robust quality assurance processes and closing out NCRs.
- Reviewing materials, suppliers, subcontractors, and construction methods.
What you will bring:
- HNC or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- SMSTS and Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualifications.
- Ideally professionally accredited (ICE or similar).
- 8+ years’ experience on major civil engineering projects.
- Strong technical expertise across design, temporary works, materials, and construction methods.
- Skilled in interpreting drawings, solving engineering challenges, and managing risk.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and team‑leadership skills.
- Confident working with clients, designers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
