We have a new opportunity for a Senior Learning and Development Manager to work closely with the Group Director of Knowledge and Learning, key stakeholder partners, and KM and HR professionals to develop, deliver and project manage an enterprise learning and development plan for the Group covering professional and business skills required through different levels of career (the "L&D Plan").
Based at either of our Southampton or London offices, the role will include:
- Development and some delivery of learning content, programmes and related projects to achieve the L&D Plan.
- Working with internal stakeholders to carry out ongoing learning and development needs analyses required to develop the L&D Plan.
- Preparing proposals for building out the L&D Plan containing recommendations for business and professional skills programmes, including AI literacy, for lawyers.
- Overseeing and project managing the roll-out of programmes including managing stakeholders, resourcing, budgeting and other operational aspects including feedback, evaluation and ongoing improvement.
- Developing and managing external learning and coaching vendor relationships, including presentation development and preparation, logistics, contracts and invoices.
- Designing an agreed range of innovative blended learning solutions using appropriate resources, including digital, with agreed learning objectives, learning methods, budget requirements and delivery plan.
- In collaboration with Group Service Directors, creating and managing the annual L&D budget.
- Managing cross-jurisdictional programmes and sessions effectively.
- Managing and providing metrics such as attendance and feedback to stakeholders when required and adapting programmes according to feedback.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience in L&D, or a combination of L&D and law practice experience within a law firm/professional services environment. Experience in designing and developing innovative and blended programmes to successful delivery is essential as is experience with LMS systems and technology that supports training delivery and implementation.
