We are looking for a Head of Client Insight and Business Intelligence to join our Marketing & Business Development team. The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive client insight and business intelligence strategy and function to support data-driven business development, marketing and client engagement initiatives in support of Carey Olsen's strategy and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of client, business and marketing data leveraging Carey Olsen's practice management, financial and marketing systems.
- Identify and present trends, insights and opportunities for growth/new business by analysing management information, client behaviour and engagement with marketing and business development initiatives and campaigns.
- Collaborate with other Group Services teams (including Finance, Technology and Knowledge Management) to evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that enable efficient data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Combine external and internal data sources to create client and prospect lists for departmental/partner BD plans.
- Create and maintain a suite of dashboards and reporting tools to track and assess the ROI on marketing and business development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of data literacy across the firm, stressing the importance of accurate and comprehensive data collection to ensure high quality management information, analytics and reporting.
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing and business development analysts/data specialists.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A demonstrable track record in a similar data analysis, research and client insight role delivering action-orientated analysis to support strategic goals, drive business decision making and growth.
- Experience of working in an international law firm/professional services firm preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Highly proficient in analysis and reporting software programmes (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Python, XL) using and manipulating data in CRM, marketing systems and databases (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Vuture, HubSpot, Marketo, JD Supra, LinkedIn, Lexology, Mondaq).
- Skilled leveraging data sourced by digital marketing analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau etc).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing) and their metrics.
Personal Characteristics:
- Strategically minded with strong commercial acumen.
- Highly numerate with excellent research/data collation and manipulation skills.
- Ability to summarise large amounts of data into meaningful insights with supporting recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills β comfortable presenting to senior management/boards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
