We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in the Midlands region due to high profile project wins. Project will be based in the East Midlands region.

Take charge of site operations, manage engineers, and drive project success. As a Senior Engineer at Careys, you’ll use your technical expertise and leadership to deliver high-quality projects to client and company standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Commercial & Contractual: Identify and manage additional works, support project financial controls, and implement commercial systems.
  • Setting Out & Technical Excellence: Lead primary setting out, ensure dimensional compliance, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Design & Innovation: Review designs for buildability, manage contractual design obligations, and drive technical problem-solving.
  • Environmental & Safety Leadership: Champion environmental compliance and risk management while embedding a strong safety culture.
  • Project & People Management: Lead teams, liaise with third parties, oversee subcontractors, and optimise construction methods.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance with company quality standards, drive “Right First Time” approaches, and enhance construction methodologies.

What you will bring:

  • A recognised Civil or Structural Engineering qualification at HNC level or above
  • Good working technical knowledge
