Careys are looking for an experienced Crane Supervisor to support enabling and main works on a major long-term infrastructure project in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong civils or infrastructure experience who is confident supervising lifting operations in a fast-paced construction environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervising all lifting operations on site
  • Coordinating crane activities with site management and operational teams
  • Ensuring all lifts are carried out in line with lift plans, RAMS and site procedures
  • Managing exclusion zones and maintaining safe systems of work
  • Briefing lifting teams and ensuring clear communication between crane operators, slingers and ground teams
  • Monitoring lifting equipment and ensuring compliance standards are maintained
  • Supporting safe and efficient site logistics throughout the project lifecycle

What we need:

Essential

  • CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor or NPORS equivalent with CSCS logo
  • Previous experience supervising lifting operations on civils, infrastructure or major construction projects
  • Strong understanding of lift plans, RAMS and lifting operations
  • Safety Critical Medical preferred
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work effectively within busy site environments

Desirable

  • Slinger/Signaller background
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Confined Spaces
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure or secure projects
