We are looking for friendly and compassionate Nurse Assistants to work for a leading care provider in a well-established care home helping to care for Adults over 65. You will work under the supervision of one of the nurses, providing care to residents, administering medication and keeping the nurse and the rest of the team up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in working with older people in a care environment
  • Must have NVQ/CQF 2 in Health and social care or the equivalent
  • Must be a patient and caring individual who is committed to helping others
  • Must have good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Must be able to commit to early morning and weekend shifts

Rota:

36 Hours (shift work) 8 am - 8 pm (If nights 8 am-8 pm) 5 days per week

Care Duties:

  • Attend to the wishes, comfort, personal appearance and hygiene of residents at all times
  • Preparing and monitoring care plans
  • Changing dressings
  • Administering medication
  • Helping residents with bathing and toileting
  • Prepare food and eating areas
  • Make beds and change linen
  • Escort residents to hospital, dentist, shops or other approved excursions as required
