We are seeking several Support Workers to join a Supported living service for people with Moderate to severe learning and physical disabilities in Banstead. You will be joining a team of Support Workers providing high quality 24/7 support to a small environment of around 10 residents; your tasks will include supporting the residents in their daily life and include the provision of full Personal Care.

Requirements

  • Effectively able to deal with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent Communication and Verbal, Written and Numeracy skills
  • Must have a flexible attitude towards working hours and be willing and able to pass DBS check
  • Must be able to work full time and be available for the shifts below.

Working Hours / Shift Rota

  • Early Shift: 7:00am to 2:30pm
  • Sleeping Night: 9:30pm to 7:00am (1/week)
  • Late Shift: 1:30pm to 9:00 pm or 2:20 - 11:00
  • Weekend work as part of a rota (Alternate Weekends)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To support the individuals in all aspects of their life, including full personal care, meal preparation and other daily tasks as required.
  • To respect the dignity and individuality of each resident and provide the residents with choices.
  • To ensure the safety of the residents at all times, reporting promptly any concerns.
  • To be aware of the emotional needs and aspirations of each resident and provide opportunities for appropriate emotional expression.
