Responsibilities:
- Check patient medical records for past histories, enter data into computer, and file.
- Take medical histories and vital signs of patients.
- Maintain client educational materials efficiently.
- Admit and discharge patients.
- Handle prescription refills, including processing and logging in-house, calling out to pharmacies, and online pharmacy management.
- Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs.
- Administer medications as needed.
- Place catheters and perform blood draws.
- Restrain and assist the veterinarian during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and stand or stoop for long periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of related experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate. Registered Veterinary Technicians in [STATE] are preferred.
