Responsibilities:

  • Check patient medical records for past histories, enter data into computer, and file.
  • Take medical histories and vital signs of patients.
  • Maintain client educational materials efficiently.
  • Admit and discharge patients.
  • Handle prescription refills, including processing and logging in-house, calling out to pharmacies, and online pharmacy management.
  • Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs.
  • Administer medications as needed.
  • Place catheters and perform blood draws.
  • Restrain and assist the veterinarian during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and stand or stoop for long periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of related experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate. Registered Veterinary Technicians in [STATE] are preferred.
