Job Description

Job title: E-Learning Developer

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Reporting to: Head of Production

CareTutor is a Social Care eLearning provider based in West London and we have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced, creative and highly accomplished eLearning Developer to support the design of targeted and effective digital eLearning for use on our CareTutor eLearning platform.

The post holder will work in partnership with the Head of Production, Head of Learning and Development and Subject Matter Experts to understand specific gaps and learning needs that can be addressed by digital learning.

The post holder will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning resources, drawing on established good practice in online learning design, to make this content available and accessible to the relevant groups in a timely way.

  • Design, deliver and evaluate digital blended learning solutions to support projects and strategic aims of the organisation; drawing on recognised good practice and an understanding of how people learn.
  • Create objective-based, engaging storyboards demonstrating a visual representation of the planned digital solution illustrating course components, resources, clear goals and learning outcomes, ensuring creations are aligned with the agreed brief and objectives.
  • Finding the most effective ways to deliver information about complex topics and design learning experiences that have our colleagues and the people we support at the centre.
  • Present complex ideas with animation, grab learners’ attention and ensure maximum knowledge retention.
  • Create animated videos easily, matching our brand and bringing your eLearning to life.
  • Conducting research and working with Subject Matter Experts in unfamiliar areas in order to identify and create learning outcomes.
  • Utilising ‘test and learn’ approaches to develop and validate content and the learning mechanism designed.
  • Work as part of the wider team to implement a range of projects to support development of organisational capability.
  • Regularly review Learning and Development solutions with Learning and Development Manager and key stakeholders to ensure they are effective and meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Introduce measurement/assessment/impact & evaluation process including ROE for learning solutions.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the sector, amongst our competitors and through continuous professional development to ensure learning interventions remain current, relevant and effective.

About You

Qualifications: Bachelor Degree

Learning & Development qualification (Ideally)

Experience

  • Proven experience in the end to end digital Learning and development cycle.
  • Experience in creating and designing of eLearning using Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Experience of designing and creating digital content utilising platforms such as Vyond, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere.
  • Experience of instructional design, including needs assessment, storyboarding, design and testing.
  • Experience of establishing and working to a set of deadlines.
  • Experience of working with a learning management system.
