Cartel Inns Brighton is seeking an Activities Director for our facility! We are a 134 bed assisted living and skilled nursing facility located in Brighton, MI. Caretel Inns Brighton is a 5-Star facility, and we are an integral part of the large Symphony Care Network portfolio of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers located throughout Michigan. Activities Director will:

  • Develop an ongoing program for group and individual activities based on the residents’ needs, interest, and abilities as identified in assessment/care plans
  • Participate in care-plan meetings
  • Complete required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, transfer, chart and document per facility policy
  • Create and distribute the activity calendar
  • Oversee resident council monthly meetings
  • Lead, establish, and supervise the volunteer program

Requirements Activities Director Qualifications:

  • Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist or an activities professional, who is eligible for certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting, preferred but not required
