As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home. This includes:
- Ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for both residents and staff.
- Supporting staff in delivering individualised care plans for children and young people.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies.
- Taking an active role in staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Participating in regular reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential children’s care setting.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and external agencies.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.
- A valid driver’s licence is desirable but not essential.
