What You’ll Do
- As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines; getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times, and planning activities.
- Ensure children receive the highest level of support.
- Support senior staff with timely updates.
- Promote individuality, not a "one size fits all" approach.
- Complete and update care plans regularly, adding any additional requirements.
- Help with light housekeeping as part of a warm, homely environment.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights, or creative projects.

Drumbank is a lovely 5‑bed property adjoining the Drum Estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh. It offers beautiful grounds and local greetings from sheep. Our young people are very active, enjoying football, karate, wild swimming and walks outdoors. The team at Drumbank is dedicated to providing the best care and outcomes, with a trauma‑informed approach and a well‑knit team that empowers individuals to share ideas and engage with local community resources.
Who Are You
- Previous experience preferred, or you have cared for a friend or family member.
- Desire to work towards SSSC qualifications.
- Manual UK driving licence is essential.
- Open to ongoing development and learning with help from your friendly team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
