We support adult service users with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs in Ashring House – a small, 6‑bedded house in Ringmer, East Sussex. The community welcomes staff and supports communication and independence for all residents.
The Role
- Deliver person-centered support in line with individual support plans.
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
- Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.
- Support activities, appointments and community access.
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
- Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (essential).
- Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
- Ability to keep calm under pressure.
- Confidence to work alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
- Commitment to uphold high standards of safeguarding.
