Senior Support Worker
Location: Birmingham
Pay: Pay Up to £34,779 (depending on experience and qualifications)

What You’ll DoÂ
As a Senior Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
Lead shift and deputise home manager
Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Where You’ll Do It
Home work really well with engaging children in creative activities in which their interests lay, it’s a home which welcomes active and playful activity supporting children to express themselves.
The team are able to support identify areas of interest and facilitate the child part taking in their hobbies while also getting involved.
We have 3 young females who bring so much joy and energy to the home, all with their own individual personalities. They are 3 children who have their own ways of expressing their feelings but come together to support one another and be a positive impact. The different sense of humours of the girls create a lot of joy and laughs in the home, each knowing how to make the staff team laugh with their wittiness. The children we support make me feel proud as they are all consistently achieving whether in school or in a local pantomime show, moments which allow them to feel that all their hard work has been worth it.
The team work together as a team to ensure the children can have structure and consistency in their day, with morning routines around school and evening activities and settling times. The team often lean on one another to get tasks done to ensure the children can remain in their routines and support each other throughout the days. The staff team often get involved with the activities that the children take part in to ensure the child feels supported and appreciated.Â
Who You Are
Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager – focused on achieving outcomes for others.
Driver with full UK driving licence, hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and two years working experience in a residential setting.
