As a Residential Team Leader based within the Manchester region, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. A shared laugh over a board game or encouragement during a tough moment - these small interactions build trust and shape lives.
As a Residential Team Leader, you will support young people with their daily routines, including:
- Getting them ready for school
- Prepping for meal times
- Planning activities
Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping. Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects. Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
The home is a dual home, which means 2 children can live there, with 2 staff being on shift each day too. We support each other, and we come together to support our young people. We take the young people on activities, holidays, and support them with any needs they may have, such as:
- Helping them keep their bedroom tidy
- Completing support sessions on personal hygiene
- Taking them to health appointments
Shift patterns tend to be a 24-hour shift, starting and finishing at 10am (including an overnight sleep) and then two days off, working 10 or 11 shifts per month.
Experience/level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare
