We are looking for a PSHCE Teacher who will deliver high-quality teaching, promote student well-being, and ensure the inclusion of students with special educational needs (SEN). You will lead on PSHCE delivery ensuring learners are able to access learning that is engaging, relevant and meets their unique needs. You will also contribute towards personal and group enrichment activities and provide some cover arrangements to ensure consistency during periods of staff absence.
Main purpose of the job:
- Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all students in the class/es ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
- Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.
- Treat students with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher's professional position and according to the individual's levels of capacity and cognition.
- Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils.
- Act within the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with The Independent School Standards.
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Cambian Spring Hill School is a 38- and 52-week day and residential school for children and young people aged 8-19 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, associated challenging behaviours, learning and communication difficulties and complex needs.
