Rate: £13.03 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 35 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service - Dugdale House

Rated Good by CQC, Dugdale House is registered for 8 service users with Learning Disabilities. The Service Users enjoy going to the local day centre, shops, and coffee shops. Dugdale House is a beautiful Victorian building and boasts a large garden which is regularly used by staff and service users for barbeques, in-house events and picnics. The service users enjoy many in-house activities as well as visiting local day centres.

The Role

You will:

  • Support daily living, personal care, and meal preparation
  • Provide one-to-one, tailored support
  • Encourage independence, life skills, and social inclusion
  • Support emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes
  • Work as part of a professional, dedicated team

This role can be challenging at times — but it is deeply rewarding. Every day, your work helps change lives.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 QCF (Social Care Wales registration)
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
  • Drivers desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
