We are recruiting for Support Workers to join our service in Plymouth, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Whether you’re new to care or experienced, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career and truly make a difference!
The Bungalow is for 6 Adults with Learning Disability, Physical disability, Epilepsy and Adults on the Spectrum. Person-centred care is very important to us at The Bungalow. As a team, we focus on the abilities of the people we support and promote learning of new skills, thereby promoting independence and an improved quality of life. The people we support are involved in the day-to-day running of their home.
The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:
- Buccia games
- Holidays at least one per year
- Bus rides or walks
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support activities, appointments, and community access
- Work a rota including evenings and weekends
