As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home. This includes:

  • Ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for both residents and staff.
  • Supporting staff in delivering individualized care plans for children and young people.
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies.
  • Taking an active role in staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Participating in regular reviews, audits, and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential children’s care setting.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and external agencies.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.
  • A valid driver’s license is desirable but not essential.
