Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 40 hours per week, 16>24 Hour shift pattern (including sleep‑in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis.

Overview: CareTech Community Services is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. We support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and also in residential care. We are a Disability Confident Leader and an equal opportunities employer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager where required.
- Ensure the team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory learning and assist with individual development.
- Communicate with the on‑site team and raise awareness of individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate records in logs, continuation sheets and files.
- Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate communication and staff development.
- Provide support and care to young people, encouraging preparation to re‑enter education or engage in current schooling.
- Travel with young people between home and school/college.
- Prepare meals and maintain the care home environment (cleaning, laundry).
- Organise and facilitate social activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Desire to obtain Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- 12 months experience in a residential setting is highly desirable; we also encourage early career applicants.
- DBS and reference checks will be undertaken in line with government regulations.
