CareTech Community Services is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. Responsibilities:
- As the new Residential Care Worker, you will be emotionally strong and driven to make a difference day to day.
- You will understand our children and their backgrounds, ensuring their needs are at the centre of everything we do.
- You will be approachable and detail focused, ensuring that our children's safety is assured at all times, and that all protocols and regulations are fully adhered to.
- Encourage and help our children to live independently and guide and teach them with your own life experiences, demonstrating empathy, compassion, resilience and positive parenting skills.
- Organise activities in the morning and provide 1:1 support in the afternoon.
- Join a team that is friendly, supportive and focused on achieving the best outcomes for everyone involved with our brand.
- Be enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and caring to continue improving the lives of the young people within our care.
- Deliver high quality care for our children, provide guidance, support and structure to their everyday lives, support engagement with education, promote healthy living and positive choices, access clinically led training, carry out household duties, record keeping and report writing, arrange days out and transport for activities and provisions.
Requirements:
- MUST hold a Full UK Driving Licence
- Desirable but not essential: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare; Previous experience working in a therapeutic environment or with therapeutic qualifications; Experience supporting and leading educational engagement; Previous leadership skills and qualifications; Higher level training and qualifications.
