Maintenance Worker
The Willows – Children’s Residential Home, Wisbech
£14.14 per hour | Full-time, 40 hours per week
The Willows is a brand-new residential home in Wisbech, providing care and support for children and young people with mental health needs. We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team and help ensure our home is safe, welcoming and well-maintained.
About The Role
As our Maintenance Worker, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of the home. Your duties will include:
Carrying out general repairs and maintenance (basic plumbing, joinery, painting, decorating, minor electrical work).
Responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring issues are resolved quickly.
Conducting routine safety checks and reporting any concerns.
Supporting With Gardening And Grounds Maintenance Where Required.
Ensuring the home is kept in excellent condition, providing a safe and comfortable environment for children, staff, and visitors.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced In General Maintenance Or a Related Trade.
Practical, hands-on and able to work independently.
Organised, reliable and takes pride in their work.
Able to communicate well with staff and contractors.
Flexible and willing to support the wider team when needed.
Experience of working in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
