About the Service – Ashring House
Ashring is a small 6 bedded house in the beautiful village of Ringmer, where the community is very welcoming and inviting. Ashring supports 6 service users with physical and learning disabilities. Ashring holds in-house activities for the service users such as arts and crafts, as well as weekly walks to a local dementia club in Ringmer, and enjoys using public transport for days out too.
It is very important to Ashring that staff work closely with the clients of Ashring House and support them into the community, mixing with people and participating in community life. Ashring is a happy home, and communication is very important to all that work and live here. Staff support clients to live an everyday life, to be as independent as possible, and to offer choice and respect dignity at all times.
The Role
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support activities, appointments, and community access
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
- Work a rota including evenings and weekends
