As a Residential Support Worker, based within Heywood, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. As a Residential Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines, including:
- Getting them ready for school
- Prepping for meal times
- Planning activities
Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping. Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects. Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Our home is a 5 bedded home that looks after young people with Behavioural Difficulties. The home is set on the grounds of a school and another 5 bed home as well, furnished to a very high standard, with a great diverse staff team. We currently have 4 young people in the home, 3 boys aged 14, 14 & 12 and 1 girl aged 14 years, all from different backgrounds and very settled within the home.
The team works on a schedule of 1 day at work and 2 days off, organised into 3 teams of 4, alternating sleeps with the teams. Staff cover each other for annual leave along with sickness, and we have weekly meetings with our young people to organise activities and meals.
